I’ve been talking about the Moms Meet WOW Summit for a while and was fortunate to have the chance to attend the 2016 Summit held this month in Washington D.C. I am excited to share with you information about the great brands I met there and lots of upcoming giveaways they will have for my readers! Stay tuned….
But for now, here are some of the Summit highlights:
Vendors at the exhibit hall
(Mrs. Thinsters, Nordiac Naturals, Mary’s Gone Crackers, Solgar and Fresh Wave)
Though gray and cloudy, the weather held out for us at the Summit but, unfortunately, Hurricane Matthew was hitting other areas of the country so many people (and some speakers and exhibitors) weren’t able to get a flight in. However, there was still a good turnout with a couple hundred women and moms and a few dads attending.
The Summit was held at the amazing Gaylord National on the National Harbor
(Hotel is the large building on the right and other photos are from the pier area in this newly built community)
The first day was for bloggers and those with “VIP” passes. We had a GREAT time at the “Blogger Speed Dating” event where we met about 30 brands to learn about their products and exchange information – for 3 minutes each!
After dinner, we were all invited to a cocktails and comedy event. Those who were adventurous enough, met up again at 10:30 PM for another smaller event- the rest of us were in bed!
Day 2 was open to everyone with lots of great exhibitors and fantastic speakers!
More exhibitors featured below
(TastyBite, So Delicious and BugBand)
Photo on the left is Dr. Drew Ramsey, author of 50 Shades of Kale
Dr. Ramsey, a psychiatrist and professor at Columbia, gave a fascinating talk about the link between your diet and improved mental health. Read more about his work here on his website.
My friend and I also enjoyed meeting Mary herself from Mary’s Gone Crackers!
Another great speaker was Rachel Martin from FindingJoy.net. Rachel had the audience laughing and crying with her stories of motherhood and how she has learned to find joy in the little things that we so often take for granted.
The Summit wrapped up with a number of giveaways (I was excited to win one!) and these AWESOME goody bags filled with full sized products, samples and coupons from all the exhibitors (this was in addition to everything they gave out in the exhibit hall so, needless to say, my suitcase was ready to explode!).
The 2017 location has yet to be announced but I will be sure to share it with you when it is. The Summit is worth attending not just for the freebies and fun but also for the chance to learn and grow more as a mom.
I will be posting some giveaways from the event soon. In the meantime, join Moms Meet (it’s free!) as a Mom Ambassador to get the chance to sample many of these products for free with your friends. Sign up and information is here.
