When I attended the Moms Meet WOW Summit last month, I went to a workshop on encouraging children to enjoy reading. It was sponsored by National Geographic Kids so I knew we would learn a lot about their kids book line. The presenter gave us each a book to take home and highlighted their book series.
The photos in these books are beautiful and they are all about learning. I was more and more interested when they talked about the Weird But True series that kids love and the new 2017 Kids Almanac. I knew my kids, niece, nephews, etc. would love these books! How had I never even looked at them before??
Then I was fortunate to be picked by Moms Meet to review two of their newest National Geographic Kids books: The Book of Heroes and The Book of Heroines! I received these books in the mail:
The books are awesome! My daughter loves them. At age 7, she can now read on her own and I love seeing her grab one of these and go off to read something about a real-life hero or heroine! Here is a peak inside the books:
Appropriately, we read this page about women in politics on election night:
The books are unique and highlight men, women and children from around the world who are both celebrities and regular people. It showcases what makes them a hero or heroine. (Even a few pets who have saved others made it in the books!)
The books are hardcover, colorful and affordable (they sell for around $12 on Amazon). These make perfect Christmas gifts! I’ve already ordered several other National Geographic Kids books (like How Things Work and Why?) for the children on our Christmas list.
I am super excited that Moms Meet and National Geographic Kids are giving me a set of these books to giveaway to a reader!! Want to win a free set of The Book of Heroes and The Book of Heroines that will be delivered to your door??
