“The Voice” Filming Local Star at The Palace- Free Tickets!

Here’s something fun that was recently announced by The Palace-

WNYT and the Palace Theatre are hosting a special “homecoming” performance with local singer/songwriter Sawyer Fredericks (from Fultonville, NY) who has been competing on the show “The Voice.”

Sawyer will perform a FREE concert at the Palace Theatre on Wednesday, MAY 6 at 8 PM.

The 16-year-old folk-soul singer is one of just six finalists that advanced on Tuesday’s episode of the competition. A fan favorite, Fredericks was again one of the first three contestants saved by America’s votes, and still has yet to be in the bottom three in any round.

How to get tickets:

  • Free tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning FRIDAY, MAY 1 AT 10AM. (Seating is General Admission) There is a 2 ticket limit per person.
  • Tickets must be picked up in person at the Palace Theatre Box Office, located at 19 Clinton Avenue in Albany, NY or the offices of WNYT, located at 715 North Pearl Street in Menands, NY.

NOTE: Because “The Voice” will be on hand to record the event, please do not wear clothing or hats with logos or artwork on them. Each lucky ticket recipient will need to sign a release in order to enter the theatre, and please note that ticket holders under 18 will need the signature of their legal parent or guardian.
